Market Manager

The Citigold Market Manager will lead a team of Citigold Relationship Managers within a market division, ensuring that the team will attract, deepen and manage financial relationships with affluent/high net worth (hnw) clients.  With access to sophisticated products and tools, s/he will utilize a team-based approach to provide holistic solutions to complex financial needs.  The Citigold Market Manager in partnership with the Branch Managers, will lead, manage and coach the Citigold Relationship Managers to provide a differentiated customer experience that supports our Citigold value proposition.  The Citigold Market Manager will inspire, recognize and provide a motivational team spirit amongst the larger Citigold Relationship Manager team. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated sales, relationship and credit strategies that are aligned with the Division Plans to achieve desired revenue, expense and service goals for this segment,
  • Develop, lead and ensure continuous training and development of Citigold Relationship Managers within Division, in conjunction with the Branch Managers.  Develop and manage a learning and development plan for all Relationship Managers.
  • Working with the sales and marketing teams, act as the voice for the Citigold Relationship Managers to develop and drive programs that will strengthen and deepen client relationships.

  • Provide formal individual coaching to the Citigold Relationship Managers.  Track sales results after coaching to identify impact, transfer learning’s and share best practices across the division.
  • Foster teamwork within the segment to ensure a positive employee and overall customer experience.
  • Coordinate Cross-business integration and cooperation between the Citigold Relationship Managers and segment/specialist partners (including, but not limited to Lending Consultants and CPWM advisor, Small Business Partners, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, etc) to ensure the client’s complete financial goals are identified and a holistic set of solutions are provided.
  • Drive Saver and Investor acquisition and retention through communications of marketing programs and active participation/support of Division/Area Micro Marketing Activities.  Plan, execute and analyze Division Wide Micro Marketing Programs focused on the Saver and Investor Market.
  • Analyze trends within the local/niche branch markets and customer profiles to identify potential sales opportunities
  • Partner with branch teams and segment partners to build and deepen client relationships to gain incremental wallet share of the affluent segment through a superior customer experience.
  • Provide regular value-added engagement with clients- High touch, face-to-face meetings at client’s preferred location, consistent communication, access to seminars, etc.
  • Support the portfolio growth within the division by ensuring the Citigold Relationship Managers identify cross-sell opportunities, deepening relationships and increasing client acquisition- being an active participant as needed.
  • Implement programs that recognize, reward and reinforce outstanding employee performance.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues within the segment promptly and effectively.
  • Fulfill OSJ supervision responsibilities for the Citigold Relationship Managers as needed.


Experience/Skills:

  • 10+ years financial services experience working with the affluent/hnw segment (both retail banking and investments)
  • Strong leadership skills with significant experience managing large teams
